A London taxi driver named John Smith secretly has two wives living in different parts of the city, maintaining a carefully planned schedule to juggle both lives. However, when he gets injured and ends up in the hospital, his carefully constructed double life begins to unravel as both wives and the police discover his bigamy, leading to chaos and hilarious attempts to cover his tracks with the help of his meddling neighbour.
