A Bunch of Amateurs

Fading Hollywood star Jefferson Steele hopes to give his career a boost by appearing in King Lear at Stratford. However, he discovers, to his horror, that this Stratford is not the birthplace of the bard, but a sleepy Suffolk village. His monstrous ego, vanity and insecurity are tested to the limit by the enthusiastic amdram thespians, and, as his career implodes, he discovers some truths about himself. Performance begins at 7.30pm
